Grape seed extract is rich in oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) that exhibit potent antioxidant activity and support vascular integrity by strengthening collagen cross-links in blood vessel walls. Meta-analyses demonstrate significant reductions in systolic blood pressure and heart rate, with additional evidence for reducing leg swelling (chronic venous insufficiency) and improving endothelial function. OPCs also enhance vitamin C activity and protect against UV-induced skin damage.

TL;DR: Rich source of proanthocyanidins (OPCs) with strong antioxidant activity. Evidence for blood pressure reduction, skin protection, and vascular health. Well-tolerated with few side effects.
